Not Preggo yet...
Sunday, February 11, 2007
Let me make note on my first post that I know I am totally copying all of my friends and using this blog service to talk about my impending (hopefully!) pregnancy.
Brian and I have been trying to get pregnant for three months now, but still no baby. I went t0 the doctor last week and my doc thinks that I am having a hormonal imbalance, which could be making it harder for us to get pregnant. If we do not get pregnant this month, I will start taking Clomid, a fertility drug, to help me ovulate A LOT of eggs on a regular basis. Brian and I really have our fingers crossed that this will happen for us soon .
Of course our main concern is that our chance of twins goes from 1% to 10% with this medication, with each subsequent month having a higher chance of multiples. Of course, twins already run in my family, so we may be getting a bigger family sooner than we could have ever imagined! The thought of having multiples is a little scary (once you get past the romantic notion of having two babies!) but Brian and I both agreed that have two (or three!) babies is better than having no babies!
I am really excited about being pregnant. I am very much in love with the idea of carrying a baby. I may regret saying this later, but I can't wait for morning sickness and a sore back.
Brian and I would really like to have a fat little baby by the end of the year. Plus, our friend Laura said she bought us a baby's first Christmas gift if we have a baby by then. So now we have to; we don't want that gift to go unused! :)
I will not being telling anyone about this blog until after I am pregnant, so I hope you enjoy reading my ramblings that are leading up to it!
