Happy New Year!

I tried to stay up until midnight so that I could ring in the new year, but only lasted until 9:30...

I still need a little help after a few minutes, but it is really fun to look at things from this new point of view!

Ouch!

Today I had my two month check up with Dr. Buttleman. I already weigh 12 lbs and 3 oz and am 23.5 inches long! Mommy has been telling me what a big girl I am and how her arms hurt from lifting my car seat.

I got 4 shots today in my legs. The nurse was really nice and snuggled me at first, but when she gave me the shots, I couldn't help but cry and make my face turn really red. In the end, I think the shots bothered mommy more than they bothered me. They also gave me a vaccine that tasted really yummy. I didn't even spit any out like I did when mommy gave me tylenol a few minutes earlier. The medicine from the nurse tasted a lot better!

I don't go back for 2 months, but the doctor said I can start on rice cereal in two and half weeks. I think mommy is more excited about this than I am. She said I will look like such a big girl when I can sit in my high chair or bumbo seat!

Merry Christmas!

It has been a very busy two days! Yesterday was Christmas Eve, so mommy got up and made blackberry shortcakes for breakfast! We all sat at the table and ate. I thought my bottle was extra yummy.

Last night, we went to the church where Pop's works for a Christmas Eve service. There were a lot of people there that wanted to meet me and said that they had prayed for me when I was in the special hospital.

Today was Christmas, so we got up and had breakfast together again. This time, mommy made blackberry and banana shortcakes! Me, mom, and dad hung around the house all day and then went to Aunt Amy's house to open presents and have dinner.

I was so excited about Christmas, that I did not want to take a nap at Aunt Amy's. I was really sleepy!



This present is going to help keep my bottom dry!

Daddy used to dance with me every night before my bath. The only problem with that is that I eat my dinner right before my bath and I kept throwing up on his shirt. Now, Daddy dances with me after he gets me dressed. I have so much fun!

New Places

Today I went to this cool new place where mommy bought something sticky called a stamp and sent off cards to all of our friends. I really liked to look around in there and even talked to the nice man behind the counter. I was sad when we left, so I went to sleep in the car on the way home.

While I was still in mommy's tummy, people already loved me so much that they wanted to buy cute things for me to wear!

My friend Laura got me this great shirt for Christmas that lets everyone know what a good girl I am.

My other friend Lisa made me this awesome hat! At a Christmas party tonight, one lady kept trying to figure out the pattern so that she could make one for her little girl. Mommy told her that Lisa makes all kinds of cool stuff that she could buy a hat from her online store called Oh Lemon.

My daddy really likes this hat. In fact, he likes it so much, he let me wear it while I ate dinner last night!

I'm a Natural

Tonight, Dee Dee had her annual Christmas program at her school. Afterwards, I wanted to see if I was any good at the piano. I have to say, I think I have a knack for it!

My smile has gotten a lot bigger today! Just kiddin! Dee Dee used these to try to get her kids to smile during their performance. They definitely made my cousin Jasmine laugh!

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

My daddy has something called a Secret Santa at work.

I don't really know what that means, I thought everyone knew who santa was.

Even though the gifts are supposed to be for daddy, someone left a present for me! This is my new Christmas towel. Don't I look cute?

Hurray for the Neonatologist!

Today, I had my follow up appointment with the Neonatologist from the special hospital where they made me all better.

I am such a big girl - I now weigh 11 pounds and am 23 inches long! I am in the 75th precentile for weight and the 95th precentile for height! Mommy said I may have not inherited the short gene after all.

The doctor did say that I have a small case of "flat head", which isn't a problem. Mom and Dad just have to work with me to lay on the other side of my head. Let me tell you, I haven't enjoyed it much tonight! I like to do things my way!

Excited

I am so excited about the new shoes that my Aunt Janie got for me! Mom wishes I had more clothes with red on them so that I could wear these all the time!
